'Godfather' Style Hit Ordered on Marvin Harrison
This story just gets crazier and crazier. As I posted on Friday
Marvin Harrison, probable Hall-of-Fame candidate WR for the
Indianapolis Colts was allegedly involved in a 'shootout' last week.
The 'shootout' was outside of 'Playmakers', a bar Harrison co-owns.
According to ProFootballTalk.com
Philadelphia sports anchor, Keith Russell states that a man came to
Harrison's bar on order to carry out a 'hit' on Marvin Harrison. In a
Sonny Corleone moment, this man came to Harrison's bar to take-him-out
but instead ended up driving away with a gun shot woud to his hand.
According to the Philadelphia anchor, Russel says that his sources led
him to believe that this act was in retaliation to something Harrison's
father had done while incarcerated. Russell also states, that there are "people who are willing to do whatever is necessary" to keep Harrison from going to jail.
What Russell is alledging seems like sensationalism, but if there is an
ounce of truth to the story it's still hard to fathom. Harrison being
one of the NFL's most private players on and off of the field, you
would assume is a man that keeps his nose clean, keeps away from the
bad influences, and leads a quiet unassuming life. I'm not suggesting
that you should think otherwise however, it is a fact that Harrison's
gun was found hidden in a "bucket"
in a carwash after the shooting at his bar. Harrison happens to also
own that carwash. Harrison stated earlier to his gun being found, that
this gun never left his house the day of the shooting.....hmmm very
suspicious.
It's always the quiet ones you have to worry about, that's what they
say. And just like the 'Don' said to Sonny, "Never tell anyone outside
the family what you're thinking again."
