Broncos say 'Goodbye' to Travis Henry
By: SCUBA
BroncosTalk.net is reporting that the Denver Broncos have cut-ties with running back Travis Henry by releasing him today.
Mike Shanahan stated, “We did not feel his commitment to the Broncos was enough to warrant a spot on this football team.”
Denver traded away Clinton Portis in 2004, the best RB they've had
since Terrell Davis. Since then, the Broncos have taken chances on
suspect personnel moves, specifically with RB's
Maurice Clarett and now
Travis Henry (who is trying to accomplish Wilt Chamberlain status).
With the recent addition of Michael Pittman with current Bronco, Selvin
Young - fantasy owners don't even worry about drafting a Bronco RB this
year. Shanahan will most likely run the usual RB-by-committee aproach
with the other 13 RB's in the lineup.
