King Felix Goes Yard On Santana
By: SCUBA

The worst team in baseball took another hit on Monday night when Felix
Hernandez had his ankle twisted on a play at the plate. However, this
is not what King Felix will be remembered for in this game.
Hernandez did something Monday night that has not been done in 37
years. With the bases loaded in the second inning Felix Hernandez,
Pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, took a pitch from the 2-time Cy Young
award winner Johan Santana opposite field for a grand slam.
Due to the fact that this was a inter-league game, this was Hernandez's first at-bat of the year. So lets recap:
Hernandez + a pitcher + playing for an AL team + first at bat all year
+ facing Johan Santana + bases loaded = Game winning hit to opposite
field.
The Mariners went on to beat the Mets 5-2.
