NFL Rumor Mill: Benson to the Texans

Fanhouse is further adding to the Cedric Benson to the Houston Texans speculation.
This is the Texans current RB roster:
Ahmad Green
Chris Brown
Steve Slaton (Rookie)
With this sad display of RB's and last year's 22nd ranked rushing
offense in the NFL, any RB would help this team - somebody get Rashaan
Salaam on the phone.
You have to wonder if Cedric Benson's heart is in the game. Since his
days at University of Texas there have been rumblings that he wasn't
completely dedicated to the game. To this point in his career, Benson
has been a bust. So, fortunately for the Texans, they could get Benson
on-the-cheap and maybe, just maybe he could turn-it-around.
My take: All this would be is just another instance of NFL owner's
giving paychecks to anybody as long as they can play ball. Basically,
murder is the last thing left a player can do to get kicked out of the
NF..... Actually, I don't think there is any crime left to be committed
in which that player will not eventually get signed by a team (see Ray
Lewis, Ricky Williams, Pacman, and any ex-Raider player). If you think
Michael Vick won't get signed by Al Davis or Jerry Jones you're crazy.
Sadly, the only thing left for a man to do to keep himself out of the NFL is get injured or grow old.
