Favre Wants To Be Released
By: SCUBA

The state of Wisconsin should be in "Level Red" for the suicide rate
today. Packer fans you better get over your golden boy retiring pretty
quickly because he will be wearing someone else's uniform next year.
Can you deal with that?
As
reported
by ESPN's Chris Mortenson, Brett Favre's agent "Bus" Cook sent a letter
via overnight mail to the Packer's facility arriving today.
His agent "Bus", expressed "a desire to have an amicable parting, as
the Packers have been reluctant to embrace his return.", according to
Chris Mortenson.
After a tearful press conference in March official marking the end of the Favre era, an "
itch", a text message, and now a conference call later - Brett Favre will be suiting up in another city come September.
According to Mortenson, there was a conference call on Tuesday with
Packers GM Ted Thompson, coach Mike McCarthy, Favre, and Cook where
"the quarterback stated emphatically that he wanted to play again".
As the world has been reporting for the past few days, the Packer
organization has shut the door on Favre and his Green Bay career.
Simply, they are ready to move on without # 4.
As I already gave you my
Top 5 Favre teams, I think Tampa Bay will me the most likely place for him to go, although I would LOVE to see him in Minnesota.
There could be no larger stab-in-the-Ted Thompson-back than Favre
wearing purple and gold next year. The first Monday night game of 2008
would be the most highly-publicized, highest rated show on Television
in 2008, even more so than the Super Bowl itself.
The Vikings in Lambeau week 1 of the 2008 season. I can only hope....
