Phillies are your 2008 World Series champs

Game 5 that started Monday night in a monsoon and ended 49 hours later.
The Philadelphia Phillies win their first World Series since 1980.
Jason Werth started the night off with an RBI in the 6th inning
bringing Jenkings home making the extended score 3-2. Baldelli homered
in the 7th to tie it up. Then Pedro Feliz brought home the winning run
in the seventh at 4-3, while Lidge closed out a perfect season for the
Phillies and ended a 'cinderella' season for the Rays.
We can honestly say that no city wanted a world championship more than
the city of 'brotherly love'. Its been 28 years in the making and now
only one other team can complain about their World Series dry spell -
Cubbies.
And now, finally Jimmy Rollins can call his city '
frontrunners' and they would be fine with it.
