After winning the 2006 NBA Championship while being named the Finals
MVP, the Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade, has been trying to 'redeem' his
own superstar status.
Last season the Heat had a league worst 15-67 record one season after
the championship run. Wade was riddled with injuries and many had
questioned if Wade had already peeked early in his career.
Making it a point to stick-it to those
nay-sayers,
D-Wade led the 'Redeem' team to Gold in Beijing. Proving that he is now
healthy, Wade is now looking to bring the Heat back to prominence. Last
night's performance was the first step.
After watching Kobe's last second shot rattle around the rim and fall
out, the Heat walked away with the win over the Western Conference's
best team - the Lakers.
The Heat's defense stifled the Lakers to a season low 87 points. The
Heat were led by Wade's 35 points while pulling out the home victory
89-87 to move the Heat above the .500 mark to 13-12 on the season.
D.Wade's line:
