Mangini, Marinelli, Crennel Out
Less than 24 hours after the NFL season ended, three head coaches were asked to clear out their offices.

New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini is out as of today. The decision was no doubt decided upon after a devastating loss at home to the Miami Dolphins 17-24. Yesterday's game was the deciding game for the AFC East crown and ended up being the deciding game in Mangini's run in New York.

Mangini, the hated protocol son of Bill Belichik, was 23-26 after three seasons with the Jets with 1 playoff appearance.

Another coaching casualty was Rod Marinelli of the Detroit Lions. Marinelli was much less of a surprise after being the first team in NFL history to go 0-16.

Marinelli was 10-38 over the last 3 seasons as head coach of the Detroit Lions.

Head coach Romeo Crennel is the latest firing on "Black Monday". One day after the Brown's GM Phil Savage was let go, Crennel was also sent packing.

In a league where nothing is certain, Crennel signed his own demise when the Browns went 4-12 after a 10-6 season last year.

Crennel was 24-40 after four years with the Browns.

The word-on-the-street is the Browns organization will make a big push for Bill Cowher.
