Jeremiah Masoli done for the 2010 season, the Ducks have issues, and new reports on Tiger's black friday
Thought #1

Ever wonder how much two laptops and an old guitar cost? How about 5 grand, 12 months probation, 140 hours of community service, and, oh yeah, a year of your college career.

Well that's the price Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli will be paying for going Captain Sticky Fingers on a frat house. Jeremiah pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary for his part in the theft of a pair of l...

The comical irony of it all.....
This Jay Cutler situation got me to thinking. Who was the last QB that whined and pouted himself to another city? Oh, wait it was John Elway refusing to play for the Colts which eventually landed him in Denver. Broncos fans got a great QB while the Colts languished in the basement of the NFL until Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy came to town.

How ironic that so many years later the city of Denver i...

CALIPARI TAKING UK JOB: Kentucky Basketball needs John Calipari. John Calipari needs Kentucky basketball.
Pressure, (noun), the burden of physical or mental distress; the constraint of circumstance: the weight of social or economic imposition.

When doing a few searches on the internet for synonyms of pressure or to be more exact, “social pressure”, a few of the words that came up included but are not limited to the following; compulsion, urgency, persuasion, stress, affliction, coercion, troub...

Tony Gonzalez might stay in KC after all
Gonzalez leaving KC for a chance at a Super Bowl run in another city might have been a bit premature.

Chiefs GM Scott Pioli has recently stated Gonzalez has no immediate intention of leaving the new-look Chiefs.  This from the Kansas City Star:

"He has not idicated to me that he wants to be traded,"  Pioli stated.  "I don’t want to get into any other specifics of the conversations because thos...

Calipari offered Kentucky job
Days after Missouri's route of Memphis in the sweet 16, John Calipari is looking at moving onto greener pastures.  It has been reported that Calipari spent Sunday with University of Kentucky officials where he was offered a multiyear, multimillion dollar deal to become the next head coach of the Wildcats.

The head coach position at Kentucky has been open for 3 days now after Billie Gillespie wa...

The Devils Demons

This season has been a special one for the New Jersey Devils. When Martin Brodeur went down in early November, many people in the hockey world wrote off the Devils season.

Pierre Lebraun said in a piece on espn.com earlier in the season that with Brodeur out the Devils would likely miss the playoffs. This wasn’t the first time somebody had written off the Devils. In an article on espn.com at th...

Adventures in the Sweet 16
I'm not saying they're going to the Final Four but i'm just saying....

First, let me recap last night's events:

THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING

Nestled onto the couch at about 6:30 PM Central.  Cracked open a Fat Tire, turned it to CBS......UCONN and Purdue....nice.  Checked the Direct TV guide for the next game.....Duke vs. Villanova.....not cool, not cool at all, actually now i'm upset.  Checked to...

TO Being TO...Should Be No Surprise to Buffalo
What a way to start a relationship.  It's all about me.

Terrell Owens has announced that he will be skipping Buffalo's offseason voluntary workouts which of course should be no surprise.  TO phoned head coach Dick Jauron to inform him that he will be there when he is required to be there!  Owens has never made a voluntary workout in his career and isn't about to start now in Buffalo.

"I have ...

Why Missouri Will Beat Memphis
These #2 seed Memphis and #3 seed Missouri will face each other in the sweet sixteen Thursday night.  These top seeds are right where they are supposed to be according to 'bracketology'.

For 'seeding' sake it looks on paper as if Missouri is the underdog.  And in fact they are:  Memphis -4.5

With that said here is why I think Mizzou will advance to the next round: defense.

Missouri's coac...

Random NHL Thoughts
1. Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. Can you imagine life as a Bruins fan? Your team steamrolls through the season only to have the New Jersey Devils with a healthy and rested Brodeur poised to catch and pass you at the end of the regular season. Look on the bright side Bruins fans...at least you won't play them first.

2. May-Day! May-Day! We are going down! All we heard at th...
