After a 20-point beating the Hornets took from the Suns yesterday, head coach Byron Scott was handed his walking papers.
Scott was the given the NBA Coach of the Year award only two seasons ago. After a first round exit from the playoffs last year, and a disastrous national television outing against the Suns on Wednesday, the Hornets chose to replace Scott at head coach with their GM, Jeff Bower.
Bower has never been a head coach in the NBA or even in college.
