And The 2010 Super Bowl Commercial Award Goes To....
We laughed, we cried, and we turned the channel.
Companies spend millions upon millions of green-backs for a chance at 30 seconds of advertising fame to be on during the Super Bowl. All of which is money well spent. The reason for this: because people from all of the world will tune into the big game solely for the commercials.
So, lets see who the big winners and losers of the Super Bowl commercials. Lets see who took home a 2010 Super Bowl Commercial 'Oscar':
The Oscar for "Biggest Call-To-Action" goes to......Denny's
- Who isn't going to Denny's tomorrow for a free Grand Slam? Everyone except those of you who have a job and don't have time to wait in line for 2 hours with 250 other people waiting to get free toast and eggs.
The Oscar for "Best Trailer" goes to...........Robin Hood Men in Tights......ha..just kidding
- Another Ridley Scott/Russel Crowe concoction. Crowe in another epic period piece....should be solid.
The 'wazzzzzzuppppppp' Oscar for "It was a good run but please stop making these commercials or come up with a better idea" goes to.....E*TRADE
- Yep, I know everyone loves a baby, especially ones that can talk, but seriously you can only go to the well so many times.
The Oscar for "Most Comical Sports Celebrity Endorsement" goes to......Skechers
- Joe Montana....really!?! Can anyone seriously picture Joe Montana in a pair of Skecher Shape-ups??? I would be shocked if Joe "cool" has ever even tried on a 'Shape-up', much less even know what it is.
The Oscar for "Most Intriguing New Product" goes to.......... Flo TV
- Live TV on the go with a clear picture. It was just a matter of time.
The Oscar for "Worst Super Bowl Commercial" goes to...........Boost Mobile
- Yes, I get it "shuffle" and the "Bears". Still, not even close to funny, a little bit confusing, and fairly disturbing.
And finally The Oscar for "Best Super Bowl Commercial" goes to..........(drum roll please).......Snickers
- Betty White getting pancacked in the mud......classic
What were your favorite commercials? We would love to hear about them.....
