Chiefs Fans Are Nuts About DE Shaun Smith
The Chiefs have had two defensive linemen in recent memory that have worn the number 90 and had the name “Smith” on the back of their jersey. Neil Smith was selected second overall in the 1988 draft out of Nebraska and was a six-time Pro Bowler. Shaun Smith, on the other hand, was an undrafted free agent out of the University of South Carolina in 2003 who at the age of 29 is a journeyman who has s... (continue)
Letter From Kansas City Chiefs Fans: Thank You Romeo!
Dear Romeo Crennel,

Let me start out by saying, “Thank you!” for what you've done with the Chiefs defense this season.

I'm not sure if you realize this or not, but the blue collar defensive-minded fans in Kansas City have been waiting for you and this year's defense since Marty Schottenheimer resigned way back in 1999. For more than a decade under Schottenheimer, Chiefs fans filled...

No! Colorado celebrates 1990 National Title that never should have been.
This Saturday the Colorado Buffaloes will honor their 1990 National Championship Football Team. That's nice isn't it? Not if you are Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket fan, because back in 1990 the Yellow Jackets should have been the consensus national champion instead of splitting the title with Colorado. Georgia Tech was the UPI Coaches poll Champion and Colorado was the AP Champion.

Now maybe some of...

Longhorn Freshman WR Mike Davis Ruled out vs. OU
TweetThe Texas injury report was released this afternoon, and there was only one name on the list.

Unfortunately that name was Mike Davis, who was ruled out with a knee injury suffered last Saturday in the loss to UCLA. As Charles Barkley would say, "that's turrble just turrble."

As you may recall, I listed his availability for the game as a key to the Horns chances of winning. Without Davis,...

Thought #1

Getting your phone numbers mixed up is always a bad idea. Maybe you think you're calling your new squeeze and you hear your ex voice pick up, or perhaps you're trying to hit up your buddy about where to meet downtown, you get your Grandma instead, and suddenly you find yourself 30 minute deep into conversation about her neighbor's mysterious cat.

Oh, or what about that time you mixed...

Red River Rivalry Preview
TweetI've gone back and forth on this one all week. Will the Oklahoma Sooners remain undefeated and gain the inside track in the Big 12 South, or will the Texas Longhorns rebound from their disastrous loss against UCLA and go to 2-0 in Big 12 play?

Keys to the game:

1. Texas must limit it's mistakes. The Longhorn offense has been mistake-prone through the first four weeks of the season. Whethe...

Can Texas beat Oklahoma?
Yes it is that time of year agian. The annual showdown in Dallas has come and while things are about to get very crazy outside the Cotton Bowl, it will be worse once the game starts on saturday. What looked like a guarunteed top ten match up has been derailed. So this now leaves the question, Can Texas win this game?

While Oklahoma is by no means a powerhouse this year, they have been tough at ti...

Do you believe Butch Davis when he says he knows nothing?
ESPN.COM: Did you know where your players were in the offseason?

Butch Davis: No, I don't know anything.

ESPN.COM: Were you aware that your assistant  John Blake may have been involved with an agent friend and/or took money from said friend?

Butch Davis: No, I don't know anything.

ESPN.COM: Did you know that a tutor that worked for you may committed academic improprieties?

Longhorns 2011 Schedule Set
TweetThe Big 12 has released the new one-division, nine conference game schedule for 2011, meaning the Horns schedule is now set for next season. It appears to be a pretty favorable schedule, especially on the road. They travel to the Rose Bowl to face UCLA, then have conference road games at Iowa State, Baylor, Missouri, and Texas A&M.

Sept. 3 - Rice

Sept. 10 - BYU

Sept. 17 - at UCLA
