About Us

Sports Page Network (SPN) is an independent sports media outlet driven by the fans and sports bloggers.  SPN was founded by a group of sports guys who saw a need in the blogosphere to help generate a legitimate source of advertising revenue for the individual blogger's websites.

The goal of SPN is to provide the passionate sport's fans an independent media outlet where they can find the voice of the fan and to join an interactive sport's fan community.  We feel that we can best accomplish this goal by providing the greatest financial resource for bloggers, as well as providing a free blogging platform for talented bloggers.

Steve is a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan with a passion to cover all things Chiefs and NFL related. He is also the founder of ChiefsHouse.com where he blogs on his favorite football team while also touching on the rest of the NFL.  He is also a Kansas City Chiefs' Featured Columnist at BleacherReport.com

Steve’s primary career experience is in online advertising sales. He has a successful track record in the world of advertising having worked previously with the NBA, a Fortune 500 NFL broadcast partner and he has previous business development experience with a startup website.  He is also a University of North Dakota graduate who has also earned his MBA.

“I realize the difficulty in finding a true advertising revenue source for sports bloggers. I started The Sports Page Network because I know that I can help provide a much higher commission structure for online writing entrepreneurs. Every blogger will be provided with their own website and each of the individual blog sites will include a direct sales force to help maximize profit. The goal of sportspagenetwork.com is to be able to pay each of the writers as any national media outlet might their reporting staff.”

“When it comes to blogging, I still consider myself a rookie and I would classify myself as an average writer but one who is passionate about his craft.  My hope is to build a true independent media outlet, run by sports bloggers who bring the same amount of passion to their writing that I do. This goal will be reached by starting with a strong group of talented sports bloggers.”

Ryan Sayler, like many other people in this world, has spent most of his life writing college level papers. However, once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, Ryan wrote for his high school newspaper, the 'Miner Incidents'. Although his articles never impacted the national scene, Ryan is now helping all of your fantasy sports teams from his dorm room at North Central University where he is in his third year of his pursuit for a Bachelors Degree in Youth Development Studies with an emphasis on Psychology. So although he may not be able to read your mind yet, he will still do his best to get your fantasy team one more win.

Ryan is first and foremost, a die hard Denver Broncos fan. After being alive for 6 months, Ryan cut his little finger on broken pacifier. His parents rushed him to the hospital when they discovered an orange and blue fluid oozing from the wound. Doctors diagnosed it as "Mile High Fever" and he has been a lost cause ever since.

Ryan also thrives on March Madness while cheering for his boys in blue, the Tarheels of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. On Saturdays in the Fall the Texas Longhorns occupy his time, and all though he isn't a huge fan of the NBA, LeBron James still peaks his interest. When it comes to Hockey, Ryan prefers to see the Avalanche take home a few wins, and living only steps away from the Metrodome, he feels a strong responsibility to the Minnesota Twins.

In high school, Ryan played all 4 years of football and basketball. Two surgeries on separate tears of his right ACL prevented him from pursuing a career in collegiate sports, but nothing will ever prevent him from enjoying any sports from anywhere possible.

Ryan's blogs on the Sports Page Network under "Real Fantasy" aim to give his readers a fresh perspective on whatever season is in for fantasy sports. Whether he is breaking your funny bone with his wit and sarcasm, or breaking down the weeks in action with a unique twist. You can be sure that "Real Fantasy" will consistently take the chances that others spend their time avoiding.

Travis Williams is an aspiring writer, broadcaster, and humorist with a passion for connecting with people from all walks of life through enjoyable, and often humorous, conversations on sports. He blends quality insights and observations with his unique sense of humor providing his readers with works that are both entertaining and thought provoking.

His goal is to one day host a sports radio talk show, allowing him to use his multiple talents to their full potential, while entertaining the sports community. Basically, Travis loves sports and loves people, and connecting those two passions is his dream.

A native of southwest Virginia and graduate of Radford University, Travis also loves his Virginia Tech Hokies, and claims to bleed maroon and orange, though we cannot confirm this as scientific fact. He currently resides in Myrtle Beach, S.C. where he spends his spare time day dreaming of being a pirate and getting frequently beaten at Madden by middle school kids.

Travis' creation, The Back Porch, is his attempt to build a community of sports fans who love to talk about sports and share other deep thoughts on any and all topics. It is a place where both a serious debate over the Washington Redskins coaching situations or light hearted debate on the best character from the NBA Jam video game or best halftime snack, are both equally appreciated and excepted. Just like your back porch at home, it's all about sharing a good time and some good conversation.
