Thought #1

Ever wonder how much two laptops and an old guitar cost? How about 5 grand, 12 months probation, 140 hours of community service, and, oh yeah, a year of your college career.

Well that's the price Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli will be paying for going Captain Sticky Fingers on a frat house. Jeremiah pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary for his part in the theft of a pair of l...

Roethlisberger used the word "intercourse" with police, Milton Bradley thinks hate was racial, and The Back Porch podcast!
Thought #1

One of my goals in life is to never have to use the word "intercourse" when talking to the police. I figure if I'm ever caught in a situation where that has to be uttered to some officer of law enforcement at some level things have gone horribly wrong. So far, goal achieved. It's too bad for Ben Roethlisberger and Steeler fans that he can't say the same.

This week it was reported that...

Save The Yankee Gate 2
As most of you know by now, the Yankees moved into a brand new stadium last season. The old Yankee Stadium is being torn down to make way for a large park that is expected to include baseball fields, a track, tennis courts, and more. Only one gate remains from the original 1923 Yankee Stadium.

That gate is Gate 2.

Yankee Stadium is currently being torn down and Gate 2 is expected to go with it. ...

New York Baseball Pitcher Rankings
As spring training has started with pitchers and catchers going through official work outs, I got the Double G Sports "Expert" Panel to put together a top 10 ranking of New York pitchers. These rankings combine pitchers from both the Yankees and Mets. Each member was asked for their top 10 and with that I put together an overall ranking. Below you will find the overall rankings, plus each individu... (continue)
The Ballad Of Brett Favre

"He's no singer.  He's no picker.  No race car driver, but he's a winner...".

This brilliantly written song probably won't win these guys a grammy.  The one thing this song did was to allow us all to finally put the question to bed of whether or not Brett Favre was a race car driver.  Finally.... we have the answer: no.

How jealous is Joe Montana and John Elway now...

Mets to sign Rod Barajas
MLBTradRumors.com is reporting the New York Mets have come to a contract agreement with free agent catcher Rod Barajas. Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com was the first to tweet about this deal.

The agreement is reportedly a one year deal with a base of $1 million. It will also include up to $1 million in incentives, which apparently seem easy to attain.

The Mets had been among a number of teams t...
